Virginia Mussett Fehlman, age 89, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the Village at Luther Square. She was born in Erie on June 13, 1922, daughter of the late Edward Henry and Ella Fields Mussett. She had resided in Erie her entire life.

Virginia was a long-time and very active member of Henderson United Methodist Church,
where she served as an usher and worked at the foodbank. She was a volunteer with Rainbow Connection, GECAC's Senior Center on Buffalo Road, and at the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home.

Virginia was a member of the American Legion Carl Neff Post #571 Auxiliary.
She enjoyed church activities and reading the Bible, ballroom dancing and playing Bingo.
She was employed with Super Duper/Festival Foods/Quality Markets for 17 years until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter, Leigh Grinnen (Harry) of Erie; one son, Morton R. Fehlman (Barbara) of Largo, Fla.; one grandson, Ryan Enterline; one great-grandson, Cory Jares; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents,

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Morton J. Fehlman; her daughter, Lynne Fehlman; one granddaughter, Wendy Jares; four brothers, Edward, Earl, Norman and Clarence Mussett; and two sisters, Evelyn Ames and Dorothy Komorek.
Virginia is laid to rest in Erie Cemetery.
