*Call to Worship                             Psalm 8 (NIV)

Leader:   Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!  You have set your glory in the heavens.

People:  Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

Leader:   When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

People:  what is humankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

Leader:     You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.

People:  You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet:

Leader:   all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild,

People:  the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.

All:         Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

*Hymn of Praise    How Great Thou Art”    UMH #77

 Opening Prayer

God, we want our worship today to reflect the overwhelming love we have for you. We desire that our songs would be a beautiful offering, pointing only towards you. We ask that each moment of this time together would bring you great praise and glory, for you alone are worthy. Guide us as we worship that all we sing and speak and pray would honor your great name. Amen.

*Hymn         “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah”         UMH #127

 Morning Prayer and Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,

the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
